Background
Hi, I’m McKenzie Shalosky! I'm the proud owner of M.K.S. Music Studios, where we specialize in fostering musical talents, nurturing creativity, and empowering students to express themselves through music and theater. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep love for music and theater while dreaming of the day i would own my own business. Growing up in a household that operates a small business brought me great insight and I've always admired the entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking it takes.
Trumpet is my first love, and I’ve been playing for 20 years. However, I’m a versatile musician who also loves teaching and playing a variety of brass instruments like French Horn, Trombone, Baritone/Euphonium, and Tuba. In addition to my musical expertise, I also have a passion for acting, and I hold a partial degree in Musical Theater. I’m constantly looking for ways to blend my love of music and theater in everything I do, whether in the classroom or on stage!
When I’m not teaching or running my music studio, you’ll find me performing with local community bands, pit orchestras, local churches, or rocking out with NACHO Street Band. Over the years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of performing with theaters such as Columbus Children's Theater, The Butterfly Guild, and Westerville Community Theater.
